Uwell Caliburn G Review

When Uwell unveiled the original Caliburn, the vape community went wild. The slim and lightweight style immediately appealed to the eye, while the soft, MTL (Mouth to lung) draw enticed the senses even more. Despite multiple attempts, few pod vapes have reached the same degree of prominence and success as the Caliburn.

Uwell Caliburn G

Although the first Caliburn appeared to meet the specifications of a pod vape, Uwell has come up with a second edition, the Caliburn G, and improved on everything.

The new features of the Caliburn G could ideally make it much more successful than the original. It features two airflow modes: a draw-activated option and a button-activated option. This weapon also uses replaceable coils rather than replaceable pods, and uses replaceable coils instead of replaceable pods.

The Caliburn G is a worthy successor to one of the best pod vapes of all time, or so the makers of the product say. Keep reading to find out.

Design

The Uwell Caliburn G is designed for dependability and pure versatility.

When everybody likes the style, it doesn't make sense to change it all that much. Uwell has subtly redesigned the Caliburn G to help set it apart from the original.

Even if the Caliburn G is longer and skinnier than the original, it's shorter, broader, and thicker than before. Since it conveniently fits into a jacket or jeans pocket, this “vape pen” concept is perfect for today's busy, on-the-go lifestyle. The Caliburn G is built from zinc alloy and is extremely light.

A distinctive characteristic of the front and back face of the G is the ribbed lines extending down the arms. These lines increase the grip of the unit, thus giving it a better look in the process. The words “Caliburn” are written on the front side of the unit below an LED symbol.

The firing button has a bronze accent ring around it, which is wider than it has on the original. It has a distinguished appearance to it due to the bronze-colored highlights. When the button is pressed, the Caliburn G answers, but drawing on the mouthpiece fires the vape.

The Pod

In addition to being the fill cap for the pod, the mouthpiece acts as the throat piece for the drain. Although I like the original mouthpiece, I find this one more convenient. It looks much much better on my lips because it follows the curves of my lips as well as suits them perfectly.

This latest pod has a click system, much like the Caliburn. Although the pods were magnets, I prefer the click-fit option. And if it is lost, it is hard to delete, which means you don't have to dig in the dark for the pod if you lose it.

The side windows on the Caliburn G provide you with a handy way to check your remaining ejuice. The lower half of the pods are translucent and capable of storing up to 2 milliliters of e-liquid. Uwell has launched a new Caliburn G known as the Caliburn G Replaceable Coils.

A classic is difficult to beat, but the overall architecture and efficiency of the Caliburn G is amazing. It looks well made and solid. I realize that “if it isn't fixed, don't repair it” is meant to be said, but I think something Uwell improved enhances the device.

No matter whether you are a newbie to vaping, the Caliburn G is simple to bring together. But in comparison to the original, you will need to prime the replaceable coils before vaping as the pod-based device doesn't use replaceable coils.

In the box, you will get two similar coils: 0.8ohm Caliburn G Series Coils. Additional 1.0ohm coils are also available for purchase.

Battery Life

I'm happy to see the addition of a Type-C charging port to the Caliburn G. To charge the Caliburn G in 40-45 minutes, use a Type-C cable and control block. It's big to be able to completely charge the battery in less than 45 minutes. This gives a massive amount of practicality to the product. It even has the power to charge when you are using it, meaning you can never be without a vape. Thats a huge plus!

The Caliburn G consumes marginally more power due to its improved battery size, but this is balanced by the extra wattage it will output (690mAh vs 520mAh). In the course of a typical vaping session, you will vape an entire pod and a half to two pods of e-liquid before you have to charge.

When you are drawing, an LED illuminates to let you know how much power you have left. Green is approximately 60% +, blue is approximately 30-60% , and red is less than 30% . When the battery is exhausted, the red light will begin to flash ten times, followed by an unresponsiveness.

Additionally, the taste was upgraded. Vape is tasty, with a rich and warm vapor that is very difficult to match. I get warm vapor when I draw using the draw enabled firing system, but I can get a good warm vape by keeping the fire button momentarily before drawing. This vape has an outstanding flavor profile, and it surpasses the best pods we've used to date.

Not only are these flavor-rich, but they are versatile as well. Though a 6mg standard nicotine e-liquid still produces a pleasant draw in this low-powered device, that does not mean that low-powered devices are perfect for enjoying nicotine e-liquid. When it comes to a system that uses nicotine salts, the Caliburn G is certainly the way to go. I get a strong throat hit from 35mg of nicotine salt.

In order to ensure that the severity of the throat hit did not become overbearing, I ran a 50mg nicotine salt pod worth of ejuice through the Caliburn G. Considering the high pressure, the throat hit was no problem at all. It doesn't matter whether you choose dense, medium, or thin e-liquid, the Caliburn G can treat it and do so proficiently.

Additionally, wicking capabilities are incredible, and coil life is similarly impressive. It has occurred to me on more than one occasion to use a single coil for refilling the pod, so I could never count past the tenth refill.

Should I Buy it?

Uwell was able to correct most problems and achieve almost all correctly. My favorite pod vape is the Caliburn G, and it has everything I was looking for in a vape: great flavor, good draw resistance, versatility with regular and nicotine salt e juices, warm vapor, long coil life, and great battery life. It gets easier to strip when you've taken it off a few times.

Caliburn G is exactly what you've been hoping for.
